Psychotherapy and Counselling

At times, when life issues or mental health conditions begin to cause distress and interfere with a person’s lifestyle and normal activities, it may be time to seek therapy. Emotional distress can manifest in the form of problematic beliefs, feelings, behaviours and signs and symptoms within the body itself.

Therapy can help people confront barriers and negative patterns of thinking and behaviour, that ultimately interfere with psychological and emotional well-being. Therapy can help establish and develop positive feelings such as self- esteem, self- worth, compassion and tolerance and promote inner peace and calm.

Therapist: Anne-Maria Slater

Alla Horoshenkova M.A., BACP

Alla is an integrative psychotherapist with a warm relational style. Her compassion and genuine intention to understand clients’ experiences promote a safe and helpful environment for exploring what matters most to each individual. Having completed an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling, Alla draws on humanistic, psychodynamic, and existential approaches and is also familiar with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles. In addition to that, her research interest in interpersonal neurobiology informed her practice of the recent scientific findings.
