Psychotherapy and Counselling

At times, when life issues or mental health conditions begin to cause distress and interfere with a person’s life style and normal activities, it may be time to seek therapy. Emotional distress can manifest in the form of problematic beliefs, feelings, behaviours and signs and symptoms within the body itself.
Therapy can help people confront barriers and negative patterns of thinking and behaviour, that ultimately interfere with psychological and emotional well-being. Therapy can help establish and develop positive feelings such as self- esteem, self- worth, compassion and tolerance and promote inner peace and calm.

Emotional distress can manifest in the form of problematic beliefs, feelings, behaviours and signs and symptoms within the body itself.

Individual therapy is a collaborative process between the individual and therapist that aims to facilitate change and improve quality of life.

Therapy can help people confront barriers and negative patterns of thinking and behaviour, that ultimately interfere with psychological and emotional well-being. Therapy can help establish and develop positive feelings such as self- esteem, self- worth, compassion and tolerance and promote inner peace and calm.

At The Talking Approach, we can facilitate lifestyle changes, help identify underlying issues and provide strategies and techniques for changing long held negative thoughts, feelings and behaviours and emotions.

We at The Talking Approach have devised a unique, intensive therapeutic care package for couples in crisis.

The programme has been carefully designed to provide maximum support and therapeutic intervention when required the most. It includes specialist couples counselling techniques, mediation, negotiation and continuous ongoing support and guidance, enabling couples in their communication process at a time when it feels the relationship is almost irretrievable and ‘broken’ beyond repair.

The Talking Aporoach unique package of care provides an initial couples assessment, specialist therapeutic counselling sessions, individual therapy, couples focused coaching and ongoing telephone/Skype/text support.

These carefully developed packages are unique and wholly bespoke. Designed with the particular, emotional and practical needs and requirements of the couple themselves.

The Talking Approach has many years of clinical experience, within the commercial sector , providing therapeutic care programmes and services extensively within the aviation sector and other large organisations.

At The Talking Approach, we provide and develop a range of therapeutic services to help and support directors, managers and employees with personal emotionally related issues, work related stress and ‘return to work’ options.

We provide an initial psychological assessment, to fully determine specific needs. We then provide a wide range of therapeutic services, including counselling, psychotherapy, mediation, medical detoxification contacts and rehabilitation programmes if required.

At The Talking Approach, we will help you devise therapeutic contracts for employees and H.R support, to safeguard both employee and employer and so ensuring that milestones are met from both sides.
